Chain / Series of Chains

Crocheting is not that hard. After all, you only have one needle in your hand and not two. It takes a while to get the hang of it, but then it really is not rocket science! A few basic terms and techniques I have filmed and texted for you. I would also like to provide you with the basics on this page.

In this case, it’s about chains and series of chains:

Text Pattern

  1. For a chain, we hold on tightly to the first loop so that it doesn’t move around on the hook. Then we place the thread on the hook, from back to front.
  2. Now we pull the thread through the loop we have on the hook.
  3. When you continue chaining, try not to tighten the thread too much, since you otherwise won’t be able to get through the loop as easily with your hook.
  4. A string of several chains is called “series of chains”.
