Humm summ, the bees are buzzing around…
After the many beautiful mobiles, which I have crocheted in the last weeks, came the wish of a friend for a new mobile. A colleague should get her second child and she now wanted to give one away as well. The desire was for much more color and flowers and bees. So I started and there was something new again. I think this tutorial is easy, but maybe I’m already so well practiced? What do you all mean? I am happy, as always, about many crocheted bees on my facebok page. Have a look over there!
Now have fun while crocheting the bees.

The bees are crocheted in spiral circles at the beginning, which means there are no slip stitches at the end of a round. If you want, make a lap marker in the beginning of each round. When it goes to the area of alternating colors between black and yellow, we continue to crochet in rounds. You can see that by crocheting a slip stitch at the end of each round. This avoids the “spiral effect” for the colors. Black and yellow then look clearly completed.
Before we start, we thread the button eyes on the yellow yarn. The two buttons walk the first rounds on the yarn until we crochet them.
1: Magic Circle, chain 1 and 6 single crochet
2: Double each stitch, i. in each stitch two single crochet (12)
3: Double every 2nd stitch (18)
4: Double every 3rd stitch (24)
Attention:: In this round we set the eyes of the bees.
5: Double every 4th stitch, but place the button eyes between stitches 7 + 8 and 15 + 16 (30)
6: 1 single crochet in each stitch (30)
7: 1 single crochet in each stitch, slip stitch (30)
Now the mouth is embroidered. This is easier at this point than after, when the bees are completely finished. To do this, take the wool needle and some black thread and embroider the mouth as needed and look.
From now on, we do not crochet more spiral rounds.
Change to black.
8+9: Chain 1, 1 single crochet in each stitch, slip stitch (30)
Change to yellow.

18: Chain 1, crochet every 2nd and 3rd stitch together, slip stitch (12)
19: Chain 1, 1 single crochet in each stitch, slip stitch(12)
Now the bee is stuffed with stuffing.
Change to black.
20: Chain 1, crochet every 1st and 2nd stitch together, slip stitch (6)
21: Chain 1, 1 single crochet in each stitch, slip stitch(6)
